We fit kitchens in Hayes, BR2, the Bromley suburb that borders our base in West Wickham. It is the shortest journey in our diary, which keeps fitting days long and snagging visits quick.
Hayes grew from a Kent village around Hayes Street into a commuter suburb after the railway arrived in 1882, and much of it was built up in the 1930s around Station Approach and George Lane: inter-war family houses whose kitchens have often been refitted before, so what is behind the old units is checked before the new ones go in.
Whether the new kitchen comes from Howdens, Wren or B&Q, in houses of this age the old one has often been changed before. We take it out, check the walls and services behind it, and set the new kitchen out from scratch rather than following the last fitter's lines.
We know the area: jobs around Hayes station, Hayes Common and Station Approach are all within our everyday patch, and being based in West Wickham means quotes, fitting days and snagging visits are easy to schedule.
